How comes places such as Bleeping computer, castlecops etc class Sigx as bad? I scanned at virus total and Norman and F-secure said itwas W32/Stration.AOY which when I researched W32/Stration I was told it was a mass mailing worm. Wtf? |

Nither of the sites said SigX was a bad program. One of them said its undesired. They usually categorize that for most programs that they have no idea about. As long as you know what the program is, its up to you to decide if its desired or not. While I dont know about virus categories, it seems to me that W32/Stration is a wide category, and there are false positives and im not sure what it means. sigx might share a function call like reading your registry which is triggering the antivirus. |
